It’s the great review stack-up, Charlie Brown!

Well, we promised you reviews and, even though Friday afternoon is very much in danger of becoming Friday night, there’s just enough time to sneak some new ones in on top of the pile. Most importantly, we’re also delighted to welcome back our old pal Rodney Figueiredo to the reviewer’s circle. He’s had a busy old past few months - including picking up a wife! - but he’s back with us again to provide some commentary on the odd few titles that we may have otherwised missed out on in our disc coverage. Anyhoo, here’s the line-up to see us out the week:

It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown: Remastered Deluxe Edition - Randall’s latest review looks at Warners’ timely brand new edition of an old favorite.

A Bug’s Life: Collector’s Edition - Rodney warms up by posting a retro review: his 2003 take on this two-disc set for Pixar’s second movie.

Schoolhouse Rock: 30th Anniversary Edition - More from Rodney, looking back on this 2002 release in anticipation of the new election collection.

Won Ton Ton: The Dog Who Saved Hollywood - The canine theme started by the Dalmatians fever last week continues with this recent release for a 1970s curio.

Those Daring Young Men In Their Jaunty Jalopies, or Monte Carlo Or Bust! - More live-action comedy in director Ken Annakin’s hugely entertaining car chase classic.

The Reluctant Dragon: Disney Exclusive Edition - Walt’s 1941 feature returns as a Movie Club title, dropping the Treasures extras but remaining a welcome reissue.

And…there we have it for another week! In the works are a whole new bunch of reviews and, of course, next week sees the release of Disney’s latest Platinum Edition, the much heralded Sleeping Beauty, for which we’re going to celebrate in style with more of Jeremie’s insightful interview articles!

So, stay tooned! - Ben.
